Staff from The Binding Site will once again be pounding the streets of Birmingham to support Cure Leukaemia with a team of 21 runners taking on the Simplyhealth Great Birmingham Run.

The leading Medical Diagnostics company will have been an official partner of Cure Leukaemia for five years next month and the company has been a loyal and fantastic supporter of the charity’s events and fundraising throughout that time.

A global company with headquarters in Edgbaston and many subsidiaries across the world, The Binding Site’s team will be led at the event on October 14th by CEO Charles de Rohan, regularly at the forefront of the fundraising activities.

“We are very proud to be supporting a local charity that is very close to our hearts,” says Charles.

“We have already seen the excellent, ground-breaking work that Cure Leukaemia facilitates at the Clinical Centre For Haematology and are proud to have played some part in raising funds for the Centre’s recent expansion.

“From my point of view, the first year that we started supporting Cure Leukaemia I thought I would do my first – and only – half marathon, but it has become an annual event for me and here I am, back again for yet another, and really looking forward to the event.

“All of us are delighted to be representing The Binding Site and we have a team running for Cure Leukaemia in the Business Challenge to see how they match up to all the other teams taking part.”

The Business Challenge is open to small, medium and large businesses with either male, female or mixed teams, with prizes awarded based on the accumulated finishing times of the top four runners from each team.

Jackie Kelly, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Cure Leukaemia, added: “The Binding Site is one of our long-standing corporate partners and continues to give us phenomenal support every year.

“This year has been no different, with their support of the recent London to Paris bike ride, the Brindleyplace Dragon Boat race as well as the Great Birmingham Run, and we are, as ever, immensely grateful.

“We look forward to giving Charles and all The Binding Site runners considerable support on the day as part of a team of over 150 now running for Cure Leukaemia.”
