With just over two weeks to go until Christmas, we are well into that magical and mysterious time of year – the mystery being how to purchase a Christmas present for someone that has everything?!

Is there that family member or friend who has become very difficult to buy for? To come up with a new and fresh idea for?

Well here’s a thing. Why not consider a ‘Cure Leukaemia’ present from a selection on offer at the moment, and know that not only is it a Christmas gift with a bit of a difference, but that you are also funding the vital work being carried out at the Centre for Clinical Haematology based at Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital?

The following potential gift ideas may be of interest:

Donate Your Name. Immortalise the name of a supporter of Cure Leukaemia on our new ‘Family Wall’ at the CCH to show support for the patients and our nurses who do such invaluable and ground-breaking work. There are 1,000 spaces for ‘Donate Your Name’ plaques priced at £65 for one year, or £150 for three years, which can be paid in three instalments. Click HERE for details.

Thanks to the Hippodrome, the performance of the show on Thursday, April 4th has been designated as a Cure Leukaemia night, with the ticket price of £62 including a red carpet arrival, welcome drink, ice cream and donation to the charity. A fantastic night is in store so why not be part of it?

He’s behind you. Oh no he isn’t? What about a night at the panto? Peter Pan will be swashbuckling his way into the Birmingham Hippodrome this Christmas and we have a limited number of tickets for just £15 available for the performance on Thursday, January 24th. That is a saving on the normal retail price, and all proceeds go to the charity. Email jennie@cureleukaemia.co.uk for information.

Wolves fans have been fantastic in their support for Cure Leukaemia since the diagnosis of goalkeeper Carl Ikeme in 2017.

And those fans also enjoyed a fantastic season on the pitch in the year that followed, winning promotion to the Premier League.

Lifelong fan and well-respected journalist David Harrison wrote a book chronicling Wolves’ great season, from which a proportion of the cover price will go to Cure Leukaemia.

Staying on the theme of Wolves, artist Louise Cobbold provided the visual accompaniment to a sensational year for the club, via an equally sensational array of paintings. Along with husband Chris, the Cobbold’s have also raised a fantastic amount for Cure Leukaemia via a Great Art Auction, publication of a limited edition book, and a percentage from their sales of prints. A percentage of proceeds from prints still available is also still being donated to Cure Leukaemia.

What about one of our much sought-after red New Balance t-shirts, all the rage at our recent events including the Great Birmingham Run? You won’t be missed wearing this for a workout or hitting the streets for a training run, whilst at the same time showing your support for Cure Leukaemia.

And remember, if you are buying online this Christmas, there are ways you can support Cure Leukaemia whatever gifts you are purchasing. Click HERE to view details of the Give as You Live initiative, whereby anything bought from 3,731 different retailers would include a commission to Cure Leukaemia.

Or how about signing up to Amazon Smile, where Amazon will make a donation to Cure Leukaemia of a percentage of all eligible purchases. Click HERE to access the link to sign up to Amazon Smile.

Thanks in advance to anyone who decides to purchase a Cure Leukaemia related present this Christmas. All support is very much appreciated. Happy shopping!
