The world is opening back up and we’re delighted to confirm a full calendar of events for the remainder of 2021!
It’s been an incredibly difficult 18 months, with everyone playing their part in the battle against COVID-19 by staying indoors. But now things are opening back up again, we’ve got lots for you to get involved in to make up for lost time and help us raise vital funds for our nurses, to run more clinical trials and to save more lives.
We’d love you to take part in one of our many running events this year, which take place in a host of major cities across the UK. We have places available so get in touch to “Run for a Cure”. During the Olympics, we are offering FREE entry for all our running events between Friday July 23rd and Sunday August 8th so don't miss out! Email Jennie@cureleukaemia.co.uk to sign up today.
TOUR OF THE TAP MK 2.0
We had a lot of fun with our “Tour of the Tap” running challenge last year and it’s back – bigger, better and more inclusive than before in September’s Blood Cancer Awareness Month. Stay tuned to hear more about this event in the coming weeks - we’re sure you’re going to love it!
If running isn’t your thing, how about you “Walk for a Cure” and sign up for one of the many Ultra Challenges up and down the country? Email Jennie@cureleukaemia.co.uk to sign up.
Or if you just fancy having a good time with family and friends, you could host a Big Summer BBQ and become a CL lifesaver? Open up your garden, stock up on food and drink, get grilling and “Cook for a Cure” by donating or raising £100 or more from one or a number of BBQs. Click HERE to sign up for your Big Summer BBQ!
Did you have football fever this summer? Do you fancy showing off your skills alongside former England internationals like Darren Bent, Lee Hendrie, Kevin Phillips and Gabby Agbonlahor? If so, how about competing in our Copa Del Cure Leukaemia football tournament at England HQ, St George’s Park on Friday 15th October. And, just to let you know, the event could end with a penalty shoot-out…! Click HERE to enter a team.
Believe it or not, you can also raise money and become a Lifesaver just by letting your hair down! It’s our 18th Birthday this year and to celebrate we’re hosting a huge party – and we’d love you to be there! It takes place at Edgbaston Cricket ground on Saturday 13th November and promises to be a CL night to remember so don’t miss out! Email Jennie@cureleukaemia.co.uk to secure your ticket!
Then we have our CL Lifesavers Awards – on Friday 10th December – where we celebrate and congratulate all those who’ve made a big impact for the charity this year. Click HERE to become a CL Lifesaver
Maybe you could be an award winner because as you can see there’s still plenty to look forward to and get involved in for Cure Leukaemia in 2021.
