LiveWell Health Announced as Official Wellbeing Partner of Run The Nations in Support of Cure Leukaemia

Cure Leukaemia are proud to announce LiveWell Health as the Official Wellbeing Partner of Run The Nations, as Cure Leukaemia Chief Executive James McLaughlin embarks on a 224-mile running challenge across 16 locations in the UK. The event aims to raise £100,000 to fund specialist Research Nurses dedicated to advancing treatment and care for leukaemia patients across the UK. LiveWell, as the Official Wellbeing Partner, will provide dedicated sports therapy and physiotherapy support to ensure James remains injury-free throughout this intense endeavour.

Run The Nations is a remarkable initiative that highlights the determination and resilience required in the fight against leukaemia. James’ journey is not just about running—it is about raising awareness and essential funds that could save lives by supporting the incredible work of Research Nurses who are at the forefront of leukaemia treatment.

James McLaughlin, Cure Leukaemia Chief Executive added: “We are thrilled to announce LiveWell Health as the Official Wellbeing Partner of Run The Nations. With this being my biggest running challenge to date, covering 224 miles, it’s crucial that I remain in peak condition every step of the way. Having the support of LiveWell Health will ensure that I am physically and mentally prepared to take on this monumental journey, while also raising vital funds to help those battling leukaemia.”

LiveWell Health’s team of expert sports therapists and physiotherapists will be working closely with James before, during, and after each leg of the run to provide the necessary care and support. Their role is crucial in helping James’ recovery throughout each stage, reducing the risk of injury, and ensuring he can complete this monumental challenge. The LiveWell team will be implementing specialised techniques, including deep tissue sports massage, mobilisation of joints, cold and hot therapy strategies, stretching routines, and targeted strength exercises to prevent overuse injuries, manage muscle fatigue, and promote optimal performance.

Run The Nations begins on Monday 9th September and will cover 224 miles across 16 locations throughout the UK, culminating in Each mile run and each donation made brings us closer to a future where leukaemia is no longer a life-threatening illness.
