At 26, Steve, a musician from Birmingham, was diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia and joined the ALL-Together-1 clinical trial.
Cure Leukaemia is proud to announce a new partnership with LiveWell Health, who will become the charity’s Official Wellbeing and Recovery Partner, supporting fundraisers across all major events for the next two years.
LiveWell Health is a full-service health and wellbeing company operating across domestic, commercial, and event settings. With a team of the highest qualified soft tissue specialists in the UK, LiveWell provides expert treatment, advice, and recovery services for individuals, companies, and events throughout the UK and Europe.
Through this partnership, LiveWell will provide Cure Leukaemia fundraisers with pre-event guidance, on-event treatment, and post-event recovery to help them prepare, perform, and recover at their best. Whether tackling a single-day challenge or multi-day endurance events, fundraisers can count on LiveWell to support them every step of the way.
The LiveWell team use hands on treatments to provide the best level of service, including sports massage, advanced soft tissue techniques, dry needling, cupping, scraping and offering taping and strapping for those who need it.
LiveWell’s specialist team will be on the ground throughout major Cure Leukaemia cycling events, including The Tour 21, The Route, and London 2 Paris, offering elite-level support to help cyclists push through each mile, overcome physical challenges, and keep the pedals turning to achieve their goals. Riders will be able to aid their recovery through LiveWell’s use of compression boots, muscle guns, vibrating foam rollers and ice plunge pods.
Steve Hartill, Founder of LiveWell Health, shared his pride in the partnership:
“We’re incredibly proud to be partnering with Cure Leukaemia and supporting their inspiring fundraisers through wellbeing and recovery. These events are as physically demanding as they are emotionally powerful, and our team is passionate about helping every participant get the most out of their experience—safely, strongly, and with the best care possible.”
James McLaughlin, Chief Executive of Cure Leukaemia, also expressed his excitement:
“We are absolutely delighted to welcome LiveWell as our Official Wellbeing and Recovery Partner. Ensuring our fundraisers have the best experience possible on our events is a top priority, and having LiveWell’s expert team on board is a huge step toward that. I know firsthand how vital this support is—LiveWell were instrumental in helping me complete my own multi-day challenge, Run The Nations, in 2024. Their expertise and care made all the difference.”
This partnership represents a shared commitment to not only fighting blood cancer but also ensuring that every fundraiser, whether first-time participant or seasoned athlete, has the support they need to go further for the cause.
