“It’s great to see how the Brindleyplace community comes together at our events and to have raised so much money for Cure Leukaemia is incredible.
Since it began 19 years ago the Dragonboat Race at Brindleyplace has raised over £600,000 for local charities – reaching a whopping total of £621,872 this year!”
Cure Leukaemia’s Chief Executive James McLaughlin said:
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who took part in the Dragonboat Race this year. It is one of the more fun and unique events in the Birmingham calendar and we have been proud to be the chosen charity for the last four years.
“The funds raised will directly help patients battling this terrible disease, offering hope through ground-breaking clinical trials and ultimately helping save lives in Birmingham and the Midlands.”
