Cassidy Group Joins Forces with Cure Leukaemia during Blood Cancer Awareness Month

Cure Leukaemia is thrilled to announce that Cassidy Group has joined as a proud partner, taking on the role of back-of-shirt sponsor for the highly anticipated ‘Run The Nations’ event. This partnership forms part of Cassidy Group’s significant commitment to Cure Leukaemia, pledging £10,000 annually over the next three years to support the Paediatric Trials Network.

The funds will be instrumental in helping Cure Leukaemia continue its pioneering work, particularly in expanding its reach to children through the Paediatric Trials Network. The network aims to provide young patients with access to potentially life-saving treatments and clinical trials, giving hope to families battling this devastating disease.

Pat Cassidy, Director of Cassidy Group, Patron of Cure Leukaemia and a former blood cancer patient himself, expressed his deep personal connection to the cause. “As someone who has faced blood cancer, I know firsthand the vital importance of research and clinical trials in saving lives. Supporting Cure Leukaemia, particularly through the Paediatric Trials Network, is not just a corporate responsibility for Cassidy Group—it’s a personal mission for me. We are honoured to contribute to a cause that gives children battling leukaemia a fighting chance.”

The partnership also underscores the significance of Cure Leukaemia’s Club 10 initiative, which encourages businesses to pledge support for critical research and treatment networks. James McLaughlin, Chief Executive of Cure Leukaemia, said, “Cassidy Group’s generous pledge of £10,000 per year over the next three years is a testament to the profound impact businesses can have in the fight against leukaemia. Their support for the Paediatric Trials Network will ensure that more children have access to groundbreaking treatments. This partnership is a shining example of how Club 10 pledges are driving real change in the lives of patients and their families.”

Pat added, “The important work that Cure Leukaemia undertake provides hope for the present and also the future, for patients, their families and friends, as no one knows when cancer will strike and to who it will affect. In asking everyone, especially people that are currently not directly connected to cancer to support Cure Leukaemia, they are actually investing in themselves and their own loved ones!”

As the ‘Run The Nations’ event approaches, Cure Leukaemia and Cassidy Group are eager to see the positive impact that their collaboration will bring to the lives of young leukaemia patients across the UK. With this partnership, the future looks brighter for those who need it most.
