What do you get when you add Scooby Doo, Darth Vader, and Piranha running the streets of London? The TCS London Marathon of course!
Twelve inspiring Cure Leukaemia runners joined 50,000 other fundraisers on Sunday as the TCS London Marathon once again returned to the streets of the capital.
In perfect running conditions, the team were cheered on throughout the entirety of the 26.2 mile course in a carnival-like atmosphere as they set off from Greenwich with eyes firmly set on finishing on The Mall later that day.
Each runner had their own unique reasons for running the London Marathon with Cure Leukaemia close to the hearts of all of them.

Running in her first London Marathon, Lara Newell completed the course in 3 hours and 33 minutes and loved the experience of the day.
“Wow, they said London would be incredible and it was. Running it for Cure Leukaemia made it even more special. Thank you for the honour!”
Former Team GB Rugby Sevens’s Rio 2016 Olympic Bronze medallist Phil Burgess only started training for the marathon six weeks ago, and has raised over £10,000 for the charity and completed the course in 5 hours and 39 minutes.
“It was great work from everyone over the weekend! That really was an experience! Incredibly tough and some amazing results and all for such a great cause! A team of 12 fundraisers getting to nearly £50,000 is amazing! Kudos to everyone for running and raising funds along the way.”
