Juliet, who works as a Haematology Consultant, will be taking on Cure Leukaemia’s Mount Snowdon Challenge in May this year.

The climb will see a team of 20 walkers head up the highest peak in Wales, trekking for 9 hours to reach the incredible 1085m peak.

The walk will take place on International Nurses Day, which is Friday 12th May 2023.

Juliet is a haematology consultant at Worcester hospital and has been part of the Cure Leukaemia family for many years.

“I’m a local Haematology Consultant at Worcester and have long been a supporter of Cure Leukaemia, since its inception back in 2003, which is when I started as a consultant.
As a haematologist passionate about patient care and experience it has been wonderful to be able to support this local charity and to see first-hand the impact that Cure Leukaemia has on our patients and their families.
We have been fortunate at Worcester to have received support from Cure Leukaemia for a dedicated research nurse, enabling our patients to have access to new trials and therapies.”

This isn’t the first time Juliet has been involved with Cure Leukaemia, and she’s previously fundraised for the charity.

“In 2006 I raised funds for Cure Leukaemia by running the Great North Run and have since run a few more half marathons. My running days are over but I have taken up other activities to support Cure Leukaemia including taking part in the Birmingham to Coventry Velo in 2019.

I first climbed Mount Snowdon in 2018 and when I saw the opportunity to climb it again for Cure Leukaemia I jumped at the chance!
I am looking forward to the opportunity to support Cure Leukaemia again and to share the occasion with others.”

Juliet has a fundraising target of £200, and there are still places available to join Juliet.
