Since 2003, we have been very fortunate to have benefitted from the support of companies both on a regional and national level. As you can see from the case studies (click on the logos above to view) of past and current partnerships, this support has come in a variety of ways and we would like to thank all businesses that have played a part in Cure Leukaemia’s history. It is vital that we grow our support base in the Corporate sector to sustain the national Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP) and continue to hasten global progress towards the eradication of blood cancer.

Deutsche Bank’s Positive Impact
(2018 & 2019)
Deutsche Bank is the business that has had the biggest impact on Cure Leukaemia. In late 2017, Cure Leukaemia was chosen by the bank’s UK employees to be its Charity of the Year in 2018 and 2019.
Over the two years staff raised in excess of £2,000,000 enabling Cure Leukaemia to begin funding the national Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP). The bank’s legacy continued after the partnership ended with 5 employees taking part in The Tour 21 and Global Head of Brand and CSR Lareena Hilton being appointed as a Trustee of the charity.
Amongst the hundreds of fundraising events the bank took part in, the biggest impact came from the ‘One Day’ salary giving days when over £1,000,000 was raised for Cure Leukaemia over these two days in 2018 and 2019.
Thousands of the bank’s staff raised funds but also volunteered their time as well. In 2018, 800 Deutsche Bank technical staff from across the world took part in a 24 hour ‘Hackathon’ when teams from Hong Kong to New York spent one day designing a prototype app for Cure Leukaemia. The partnership was celebrated in November 2019 with a special dinner at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. Attended by Professor Sir John Bell, Gareth Southgate, Martin Johnson, Jonathan Trott and Deutsche Bank’s CEO for the UK and Ireland Tiina Lee, the event highlighted to the bank’s clients and staff how impactful the two-year partnership has been.
Tour de France
Cure Leukaemia is the exclusive UK charity partner of the world’s most iconic cycling race, the Tour de France. The official partnership with Amaury Sports Organisation (A.S.O) ensures that The Tour 21 is the only recognised charity event based around the Tour de France and has helped the event grow in stature and fundraising potential. The partnership with A.S.O has been extended for a further 3 years through to 2026 meaning The Tour 21 will continue for 2024, 2025 and 2026 at least, aiming to raise £1miliion+ each time.
The partnership with A.S.O is set to grow throughout 2024 and 2025 with new events and new fundraising opportunities.
Inchcape UK
Inchcape UK are the Official Vehicle Partner of Cure Leukaemia’s London 2 Paris event, supporting the event with a supply of Jaguar Land Rover vehicles. In addition, Inchcape UK are the title sponsor of the Tour of the TAP supplying the official Jaguar Land Rover of the event and supporting Cure Leukaemia CEO, James McLaughlin as he runs 14km from each TAP centre hospital across the UK.
In addition, many more Inchcape UK employees got involved in their ‘Fill Your Boots’ campaign during Blood Cancer Awareness month in September, raising over £12,000 with a variety of activities including taking on Snowden!

Booths
Based in the north of England, the Booths supermarket chain have supported Cure Leukaemia for a number of years from Managing Director Nigel Murray participating in the 2021 edition of The Tour 21 and helping to raise over £1million through that event through to staging a 175th anniversary cyclo-classic in 2022 that also included running, golf, static bikes and a bake sale with all funds coming to CL.
The Binding Site
(2013 – )
The Specialist Protein Company based in Edgbaston, Birmingham became a charity partner of Cure Leukaemia back in November 2013 making them one of Cure Leukaemia’s longest-running partners.
The Binding Site staff have found a variety of ways to support over the years ranging from taking part in London 2 Paris, Copa Del CL and the Great Birmingham Run to holding samosa sales and Christmas raffles within the office.
Over the 8 years, The Binding Site have raised close to £130,000 for Cure Leukaemia.
KPMG Birmingham
(2015 – )
KPMG Birmingham have supported Cure Leukaemia since 2015 as one of their local charities and have held dinners, run half marathons and taken part in dress down days to raise vital funds for us. They raised £8,000 at their annual charity ball in 2017, entered teams for the Copa Del CL and hosted Cure Leukaemia’s Put Us Out Of Business launch in 2019.
A number of their employees have been touched by blood cancer including Jenna Ostrowski whose story can be found on this website. One of Cure Leukaemia’s Trustees, Richard Turnbull recently joined the company.
Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce
(2015)
Cure Leukaemia benfitted from a host of fundraising initiatives organised by the Chamber throughout 2015 including quizzes, a summer barbeque and prize draw at its annual business dinner and awards evening on 23rd April 2015 at Birmingham’s ICC.
Former CEO Paul Faulkner is a Trustee of Cure Leukaemia and encouraged ongoing support from the Chamber who regularly took part in the charity’s Dragonboat Race event in Birmingham.
Pinsent Masons Birmingham
(2012 & 2016)
The Birmingham office of legal firm Pinsent Masons first supported Cure Leukaemia in 2012 and then again in 2016 when they raised over £40,000 during the year.
Their aim was to raise enough to fund a specialist research nurse in Birmingham for one year and they achieved it by through skydives, participation in running and cycling events and in-office fundraising.
Head of the Birmingham office is Greg Lowson, a Trustee of Cure Leukaemia.
Caboodle Technology
(2018 – )
Caboodle decided to make Cure Leukaemia their charity for 2018 because the disease has impacted on the lives of some of their employees and they wanted to show their support by raising funds for the charity.
Through innovative in-office fundraising, participation in major events such as London 2 Paris and Velo Birmingham and by providing sponsorship, Caboodle are a hugely valued and integral part of the #CLFamily. A special mention must be given to Emilia Bennett, the daughter of MD Catherine, who raises funds every year and created a cookbook in 2020 raising over £2,000.
Hogan’s Cider
(2012 – )
Hogan’s Cider have a long-standing relationship with Cure Leukaemia, regularly supporting the charity at events with their award-winning Ciders and Perries.
Hogan’s Cider now donate 1p to Cure Leukaemia for every pint of their cider sold in the UK following their daughter Alice, sadly dying in August 2012, aged just 21, following her battle with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia.
Over the years, Hogan’s have raised over £87,000 for Cure Leukaemia firmly establishing them as integral members of the #CLFamily.
Drive System Design
(2018 – )
Leamington Spa engineering firm Drive System Design has supported Cure Leukaemia since 2018. Employee Lizzie Dean, an AML survivor who has helped raise thousands for the charity, encouraged her employers to become more involved.
A member of staff cycled across the USA, a team of walkers took on the 3 peaks and they are regularly involved in the charity’s annual Dragonboat Race.
OWB Creative
(2018 – )
OWB became our creative partner in 2018 and have been instrumental in the re-branding of Cure Leukaemia. OWB built our new website and created the three pillars of Cure Leukaemia’s communications: The ‘We Will’ campaign for clinical messaging, the ‘Lifesavers’ for community fundraising and ‘Put Us Out Of Business’ for corporate messaging.
OWB also created the new look for The Tour 21, Copa Del CL, Big Summer BBQ, CL Cycling Club and our 18th Birthday Party to name just a few other major projects.
Not only have OWB played a major part in recent years as creative partner but staff have also regularly fundraised and introduced the charity to new opportunities.
Rudell the Jewellers
Rudell the Jewellers has been providing excellent customer care and the most prestigious array of jewellery, timepieces and luxury giftware for the Midlands since 1938. The family business has been a steadfast supporter of Cure Leukaemia, regularly attending events, fundraising and donating beautiful items for auctions and raffles.
Staff at Rudell frequently take part in London 2 Paris and play an active role in many major events at Cure Leukaemia.
Warwickshire County Cricket Club
(2006 – 2016)
The relationship between Cure Leukaemia and Warwickshire County Cricket Club (WCCC) started back in 2006 when Ashley Giles MBE chose to support the charity in his Benefit year. The former Ashes winner and current Director of England men’s cricket is a Cure Leukaemia Patron along with his former Warwickshire and England teammate Dougie Brown.
In 2011, the Eric Hollies Stand turned red on the third day of the Test match versus India as Warwickshire donated a percentage of ticket sales that day to Cure Leukaemia raising £25,000.
This continued up to 2016 and in total WCCC donated over £175,000 during that period.
The charity has been chosen by a number of Warwickshire players for their Benefit years – Jim Troughton, Jonathan Trott and Ian Westwood have chosen to support Cure Leukaemia. In 2020, WCCC backed ‘Tour of the TAP’ by sponsoring of the legs and will host Cure Leukaemia’s 18th Birthday Party in November 2021.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
(2017 – )
When Wolves goalkeeper Carl Ikeme was diagnosed with blood cancer in July 2017, the club and its supporters rallied to raise funds for Cure Leukaemia.
Countless fans organised fundraising events and the club dedicated their home game against Middlesbrough to the charity to raise funds in support of Carl. A special shirt was created for fans to ‘Donate Their Name’ to have their name included in the design and Steve Plant held a series of raffles and auctions raising close to £25,000. Artist Louise Cobbold donated a percentage sales of her fantastic Wolves-inspired artwork and in total the Wolves family raised £150,000.
The funds went towards Cure Leukaemia’s £1m appeal in 2017 to expand the Centre for Clinical Haematology.
Since then, the fundraising has not stopped. Danny Fishwick and the Wolves sports medicine team fundraise at Christmas each year and have raised £18,000 and fans again rallied during Tour of the TAP raising over £3,500.
Birmingham City FC
(2018)
Birmingham City supported Cure Leukaemia in 2018 after being inspired by the story of one of their supporters Lizzie Dean. The Club raised over £25,000 to part-fund the role of a specialist research nurse in Birmingham.
Deloitte, Birmingham
(2013 & 2014)
The Birmingham office of Deloitte became our Corporate partner in the autumn of 2013 when the staff voted for Cure Leukaemia.
We worked with them on a number of events over the year including the Great Birmingham Run when 50 staff ran for Cure Leukaemia and many other fundraising initiatives throughout the year including ladies lunches, annual dinners and even cake sales!
The relationship was so successful the staff voted for Cure Leukaemia for an unprecedented second consecutive year. In all the company raised over £100,000 and helped fund the position of one of our specialist research nurses for two years.
PD Financial Management
(2017 – )
PD Financial Management have been involved with Cure Leukaemia since 2017 when they sponsored the charity’s cycling jerseys for Velo Birmingham. They have entered teams for London 2 Paris, Copa Del CL and have continued sponsoring cycling jerseys ever since.

Elonex
(2013 –
Elonex Outdoor Media lit up the world of Digital advertising and the Birmingham-based Outdoor Media specialist donated premium advertising airtime to support Cure Leukaemia.
Elonex Outdoor Media broadcast many campaign messages for Cure Leukaemia on its network of outdoor digital screens across the West Midlands in a bid to help raise awareness including The Club Legends Cup in 2014, the Brindleyplace Dragonboat Races, GPFNK and helped Cure Leukaemia secure votes from Deutsche Bank staff in 2017.
The large format LED roadside screens combined deliver in excess of 31 million audience advert impacts every fortnight.
Elonex are supporting the 2023 London 2 Paris event with a digital van providing HD image and video content for the riders and partners.
Purnell’s
(2012 – 2018)
The Michelin-starred restaurant of chef and Patron Glynn Purnell supported Cure Leukaemia for six years raising funds and awareness of the charity throughout that time.
Glynn was central to the charity’s annual fundraising dinners and helped create GPFNK, a unique live cooking experience which became one of the most popular events in the Birmingham calendar.
Santini
Official Tour de France kit supplier, Santini have been supplying Cure Leukaemia with elite level sports clothing since 2021 as the Official Technical Kit Partner. Bespoke kit designs for The Tour 21, London 2 Paris, Tour of the TAP and for anyone running on behalf of Cure Leukaemia are all supplied by the Italian apparel company.

MuscleFlo
MuscleFlo were the official Muscle Therapy Partner for the Tour 21 event in 2022 in addition to being Cure Leukaemia’s Official Muscle Therapy and Recovery Partner supporting all of the charities sporting events with a supply of massage guns and aiding all riders, runners and footballers in their recovery from their fundraising activities.
Farr Vinters
Farr Vintners have, up until the 2023 iteration of the event, been the Headline Sponsor of The Tour 21 for a number of years, providing support to the teams each year in their efforts to raise over £1million for the TAP network. Farr Vintners have also supported the charity with hosting and the supply of wine for networking events, allowing Cure Leukaemia to introduce more people to the network of specialist nurses it funds.

CRX Compression
CRX Compression are the only medically certified compression wear consumer brand on the market specifically designed to minimise muscle oscillation and maximise blood flow around the body, both improving performance and aiding the recovery from physical activity. Alongside Cure Leukaemia, CRX work with the likes of Bath Rugby, Fulham Football Club and Cricket Scotland, with CRX Investor, Matt Townsend a member of the 2021 Tour 21 team completing the entire Tour de France route a week ahead of the professionals and raising over £1million in the process.
Village Hotel Gym and Club
The Village Hotels were the Official Hotel Partner of the Tour of the TAP in 2022, accommodating James and his support crew at hotel sites across the UK as he ran 14km from each of the 12 x TAP Centre locations. In addition, the Village Hotel in Solihull raised funds via a 24 hour spin-a-thon and collections at the hotel and gym entrances. The Village will be putting forward a team to participate in London 2 Paris in 2023.
Siemens Healthineers
In 2022, Siemens Healthineers Managing Director Ali Burns rode the 4 days of London 2 Paris and for 2023 he has brought 15 fellow Healthineers along with him. In addition, Siemens Healthineers are the official Start and Finish Line Sponsor and exclusive rider jersey sleeve sponsor for the event.
The team at Siemens Healthineers have facilitated Christmas raffles, bake sales and sponsored car washes to support Cure Leukaemia and in Blood Cancer Awareness Month in 2022, Cure Leukaemia Patron, Geoff Thomas MBE visited the head office in Camberley for a Q&A on his football career, leukaemia journey and adventures riding his bike all across France.

Molson Coors supported Cure Leukaemia as a day sponsor of London 2 Paris in 2022 and participating in the charities inaugural Female Copa del Cure Leukaemia football tournament held at the home of the Lionesses, St. George’s Park.
University College Birmingham
University College Birmingham support Cure Leukaemia and add value to their students’ studies as an Official Recovery Partner for the London 2 Paris and Copa del Cure Leukaemia events. Physical Education students provide sports massage services for the 150 x riders participating in London 2 Paris throughout the 4 days and 200 x footballers playing in the Copa del CL event, ensuring a good experience for all the participants raising funds for Cure Leukaemia.
Clover HR
Clover HR deliver HR consultancy services across Birmingham, Manchester, London and Worcestershire, providing the best and pragmatic Human Resources solutions, documentation, coaching and training to support small businesses. Clover HR aim to take the strain of Human Resources through honest, focused, responsive and innovative HR support.
Clover HR support Cure Leukaemia with their HR services and have been an official day sponsor of the Tour of the TAP in 2022.
OGL Software
OGL (recently acquired by Wavenet) as a business have been in operation for over 45 years and provide IT support for Cure Leukaemia.
In addition, OGL have been a day sponsor of the London 2 Paris for a number of years, often sponsoring the first day with their logo visible as the team of 150 x riders leaving Greenwich Park in London heading down to Folkestone.

Ride alongside 100+ other cyclists from one capital to the other over the course of 4 days in a fun, social environment.
Copa del Cure Leukaemia
Play football at the home of the Three Lions, St. George’s Park, in Cure Leukaemia’s annual 7-a-side tournament.
Running
Represent Cure Leukaemia at any 10km, fun-run, half-marathon, obstacle run or endurance race including the London Marathon.
