Poems from the CLFamily

To mark World Poetry Day we are sharing some poems by members of the #CLFamily. During this current global situation, messages of hope and positivity from patients and family members affected by blood cancer are more crucial than ever.

CL Champion Jess Hempshall has found lots of unique ways to raise awareness and funds in recent years. This poem is taken from a book she wrote call 'All You Need Is Blood.'

Susan Carr is the mother of Cure Leukaemia specialist research nurse Donna Walsh and she penned this poem about the signs and symptoms of blood cancer.

Hilda Harkins is the mother of CL Champion Debs Harkins who has been in remission from acute myeloid leukaemia since 2016. This poem is about the life-saving transplant Debs received whilst being treated at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

If you have some poetry about blood cancer or perhaps raising funds for Cure Leukaemia you would like to share please email  Paul@cureleukaemia.co.uk
