The Birmingham County FA has been announced as an official partner for the Club Legends Cup on Saturday July 12th at the LG Arena.
The likes of Lee Hendrie, Stiliyan Petrov, Matt Murray, Darren Purse, Darren Moore, David Busst and Jorge Leitao will represent Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Coventry City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Walsall and West Bromwich Albion in what is sure to be a fantastic family event following the close link between football and leukaemia.
Not only will this be a footballing spectacle not to be missed but, in addition, there will be an opportunity to witness legends of the future in the FootieBugs Little Legends Cup featuring six teams of kids from all around the region. The junior tournament will kick the day off at giving youngsters the chance to play at the prestigious arena.
The footballing program will be completed with a Ladies Legends match showcasing the female game in the Midlands making the whole event a truly unique display of all those that play beautiful game.
The Birmingham County FA, which now boasts over 4500 teams, will play a key part on the day with staff members putting on fun training displays around the arena’s concourse areas. They have provided prizes for the raffle too with tickets to the FA Community Shield and an England International of their choice. In addition, they will supply referees for all the matches and help with the logistics on the day.

The event will be a fantastic showcase for grassroots and professional football for both men and women around the Midlands the day before the biggest football event in the world and it’s great that it will be supporting a wonderful local charity in Cure Leukaemia as well.
The fans having the chance to play with their heroes is also great idea and one that will help encourage people to get back playing the beautiful game because no matter what standard you are there is always a chance to become a legend!”
