Ben began his career at The Albion Foundation (club charity of West Bromwich Albion Football Club) in 2013 following the completion of his Masters degree and quickly rose up the ranks.
Ben joined the British Judo Association in 2016 as Marketing and Communications Manager, before taking up the Head of Marketing and Communications role two years later.
Most recently he spent two weeks working in Tokyo at the Paralympic Games as part of Team GB’s media team.
“I am joining the team at Cure Leukaemia at an incredibly exciting time with their ambitious plans for the future,” commented Pollard. “It’s a real privilege to be joining the team to continue some of the great work already completed but also to launch a new national robust marketing and communications strategy to help drive the charity forwards and the ongoing fight against blood cancer.”
Chief Executive James McLaughlin was delighted to welcome Pollard to the team. “Ben brings a wealth of marketing and communications experience from the sports industry and we are thrilled that he is joining us at such a pivotal moment for the charity.”
Ben will be contactable on ben@cureleukaemia.co.uk for any upcoming media and marketing requests across the charity.
