Everyone at Cure Leukaemia would like to wish Georgia Thomas all the best as she moves to Australia at the end of February.

Georgia has spent almost a year as Fundraising Co-ordinator, a key part of the Cure Leukaemia team generating interest from fundraisers to support the charity’s events as well as acting as a central point of contact for all who raise money.

She proved a fantastic addition to Cure Leukaemia with her enthusiasm and dedication to the charity, and leaves with everyone’s very best wishes and congratulations ahead of a new challenge in Australia.

Cure Leukaemia are now advertising for a Challenge and Community Events Co-ordinator to replace Georgia after she leaves at the end of February.

The successful candidate will be tasked with developing and increasing income from individuals and community groups who raise money for Cure Leukaemia through challenge and mass participation events.

The role also includes involvement with the management of Cure Leukaemia’s participation at national and regional events and challenges, other marathons and regional half marathons, walks, cycles and treks, with events including the Simplyhealth Great Birmingham Run, Velo Birmingham & Midlands, the London 2 Paris bike ride and Copa Del CL football tournament at St George’s Park.

Other tasks in an extensive portfolio include acting as a point of contact and advice for fundraisers and volunteers including the CL Champions, maintaining the fundraising database, promoting the charity’s events on social media and generally ensuring positive working relationships between the charity and community representatives.

 

  • Applicants must have experience in delivering charity challenge and community-based fundraising events and activities, and creating and maintaining community relationships.

 

  • The charity is looking for a highly motivated individual, able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team, and with the enthusiasm and passion to inspire people to support Cure Leukaemia’s cause.

 

  • In return the successful candidate will enjoy the opportunity to be part of a small and hard-working team at an innovative charity which is having a positive and ever-increasing global role in the fight against blood cancer.
