The 3 Tours Challenge Begins

The Geoff Thomas Three Tours Challenge has started

Former England, Crystal Palace and Wolves footballer and leukaemia survivor Geoff Thomas along with Doug McKinnon, Hayden Groves, Marcus Leach and James Maltin have begun their epic 10,403km cycling challenge. On May 4th they started the Giro D'Italia leg of the three gruelling tours they will complete to raise funds for Cure Leukaemia.

They have had tremendous support already from Farr Vintners (headline sponsor) Crystal Palace FC, England Manager Gareth Southgate and many generous donations already via JustGiving.

  • 6,348 miles of cycling -That’s the equivalent to cycling from Birmingham to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
  • 66,000m of climbing - That’s 7.5 times the height of Everest

 

Training alone has consisted of:

  • 72,000 miles
  • 2,160 hours
  • 25 million revolutions
  • 1,008,000 calories burned
