Cure Leukaemia would like to say a HUGE thank you to the Aston Villa's No.1 Overseas Supporters Club, the Irish Lions for their support.
The Irish Lions sold Cure Leukaemia branded Aston Villa Irish Lions shirts to fans and raised just short of £2000.
Irish Lions Chairman Pete said "It’s always a group decision when choosing the charity to sponsor each year, but with the inspiration coming ultimately from Stiliyan Petrov - it was a unanimous decision by all to raise money for Cure Leukaemia. Half the money raised was by members purchasing our supporters club shirts with the Cure Leukaemia logo on the front - the other half was raised by our team at the AVFC Dublin Weekender, where Aston Villa themselves provided amazing prizes that we raffled off"
Thank you to all the Villa fans who bought a shirt and a special thanks to AVFC Irish Lions Chairman Peter Chatham for organising the shirts and the fundraising event for Cure Leukaemia and to Aston Villa for their continued support.
