Michelin-starred chef Glynn Purnell and Masterchef judge Gregg Wallace are joining forces to serve up a live culinary experience in front of 400 guests at Aston Villa Football Club this autumn.
The event, Glynn Purnell’s Friday Night Kitchen with Friends, will take place on Friday 2nd October for the third year running at Villa Park, to raise funds for Cure Leukaemia, of which Glynn became a Trustee in 2014.
Tickets are now on sale for the event, so to find out more contact Jackie Kelly on Jackie@fridaynightkitchen.co.uk
Hosted by TV foodie Gregg Wallace, the evening will see ‘Yummy Brummie’ Glynn prepare four courses on stage, helped out by some surprise celebrity guests. The audience will enjoy each of Glynn’s dishes prepared under the guidance of Villa’s Executive Chef, Peter Reed, and the kitchen staff from award-winning VMF Restaurant.
Guests will be entertained until the early hours courtesy of popular live covers band and Jam House residents, The Subterraneans, and a DJ set by Heart FM’s Russ Morris.
“I’ve been proud to host this event in aid of Cure Leukaemia for the past couple of years and its popularity has grown each time.
This year we’re going even bigger and better to create a fun Friday night with a difference.
I’m looking forward to being joined on stage by Gregg and a number of familiar faces for plenty of banter, and with a whole evening of entertainment it’s set to be a real night to remember.”
Best known for co-presenting MasterChef, Celebrity MasterChef and MasterChef: The Professionals on BBC1 & BBC 2, Gregg has charmed the nation with his warm personality and passion for food.
“I can’t wait to join Glynn and guests in Birmingham on Friday 2 October, and I’m already looking forward to the menu.
I just hope he’s got plenty of desserts planned!”
