23rd March 2015

On Tuesday 3rd March, Deloitte held their annual Birmingham charity luncheon to mark the 2015 International Women's Day.

Helen Fraser CBE, former MD of Penguin books, current CEO of The Girls’ Day School Trust and chairing judge for the Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction, was the guest speaker at a charity lunch in Birmingham to mark this year’s International Women’s Day.

The annual lunch, now in its 12th year, was held at Birmingham’s Hyatt Regency and was organised by business advisory firm and Cure Leukaemia partners, Deloitte. Attended by over 130 of the region’s businesswomen, the event raised nearly £3,500 for Cure Leukaemia, which is once again the chosen charity for 2015 for Deloitte’s Birmingham office.

Helen shared highlights of her career in publishing and her role within the Girls’ Day School Trust as well as an insight into challenges still faced by women and girls in both education and in the workplace.

Everyone at Cure Leukaemia would like to say a huge thank you to Deloitte for yet another successful event, as well as all of those who attended the lunch.
