Good luck to our 'Color Runners' this Saturday!

12th August 2014

For the first time ever, one of the world's most unique 5km runs comes to Birmingham and is set to light up the city this Saturday...

'The Color Run' is a one of a kind experience that is less about speed and more about enjoying a colorful and crazy day with your friends and family....and it's been no surprise that it has been a huge hit with our supporters!

Amongst the thousands that are set to line up to run this Saturday, there will be almost 100 runners lining up who have been raising money for Cure Leukaemia.

A fantastic 70 employees from the Birmingham based office of The Binding Site will be running in their Cure Leukaemia t-shirts and aim to raise £10k as part of their epic event of challenges which has been organised by the employees. We caught up with some of those taking part in The Color Run to find out how much they are looking forward to it...

“It’s the enthusiasm for events like these that makes me so proud to be part of a charity committee like ours – I’m so proud of all our Color Runners for all their hard work and I’m looking forward to being part of the colour explosion with them all!” - Katie Jowett, Quality Laboratory Technician – Color Run event organiser for TBS

“I’m really excited about being involved in such a great event with so many colleagues.  Raising money for Cure Leukaemia at the same time as having fun is the icing on the cake!” - Emma Ramsay, Head of HR

“Usually in the run up to an event like this I’d be a little bit nervous but looking at the website you can’t help being excited and looking forward to what looks like great fun. Knowing that the money raised will go to help such a great cause as Cure Leukaemia and taking part with a large group of colleagues just makes it even more special” – Abi Tansey, Head of QA

“What I really enjoy about these events is the combined benefits of challenging yourself, raising money and having a great time along the way. I love the idea that getting covered in colour will help cure leukaemia!” - Stephanie Thouless, Regulatory Affairs Officer

‘I’m very proud and excited to be a part of something new and exciting as the color run. I hope by taking part that I can raise more awareness and sponsorship for Cure Leukaemia while creating fun and memorable moments at the same time.’ - Emer Walsh, ELISA Laboratory Technician

“Are you ready for the craziest, colorful, 5k of your life?”

Good Luck!
