Birmingham-based Elonex Outdoor Media will be sponsoring the Aston Villa shirts for the inaugural Club Legends Cup at the LG Arena on Saturday July 12th 2014.
The unique indoor football tournament will feature former legends from Midlands football teaming up with lucky fans and locking horns once again at the prestigious venue. All money raised from the event will go to Birmingham-based blood cancer charity Cure Leukaemia.
Elonex Outdoor Media operate an extensive network of roadside digital advertising screens across the UK, including the largest in Europe situated close to the M6/M5 interchange in the West Midlands, as well as providing many of the LED screens which we see today at major sporting venues and in larger shopping centres.
In addition to sponsoring the Aston Villa shirts, Elonex Outdoor Media will also be supplying the pitch side LED perimeter boards at the Club Legends Cup which will carry messages from the sponsors and allow Cure Leukaemia to showcase the vital work they undertake and to promote the different ways the general public can help and support the charity.
Adam Stockton from Elonex Outdoor Media said: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring the Aston Villa team at the inaugural Club Legends Cup. With the likes of Stiliyan Petrov, Lee Hendrie and Ian Taylor, to name just a few, in the Villa squad it’s an honour to do so; and with all of competing teams including such a vast array of former footballing superstars, we’re sure the event will become a major fixture on the local sporting calendar for years to come.
“Of course our main motivation for becoming involved was to show our support for the amazing life saving work Cure Leukaemia is involved in. It’s a charity that we already enjoy a close relationship with and we hope our sponsorship and the supply of the pitch side perimeter at the event will play a small part in helping to raise substantial funds for Cure Leukaemia.”
James McLaughlin, the Chief Executive of Cure Leukaemia said, “To have such an influential Birmingham-based business in Elonex sponsoring the Aston Villa shirts is fantastic both for the event and for Cure Leukaemia. The LED boards will look great at the LG Arena and will help us communicate effectively with the crowd and its great to have yet another major local company such as Elonex involved in the Club Legends Cup.”
