The cycling sportive Velo Birmingham & Midlands will take place on Sunday May 12th 2019 with a brand new 100-mile closed-road route and Cure Leukaemia still have places available!
The event, formerly known as Velo Birmingham, first took place in 2017 and 600 cyclists took part representing Cure Leukaemia. This year's event takes place on International Nurses Day, a fitting day for funds to be raised for Cure Leukaemia to ensure specialist research nurses can continue to connect blood cancer patients with pioneering treatments.
As an official partner of the event, Cure Leukaemia has an allocation of places available so to GUARANTEE your place for next year's Velo Birmingham & Midlands click the button below and state the number of places you would like.
Registration costs £40 per place and cyclists are asked to raise a minimum of £400 to help Cure Leukaemia continue supporting life-saving and ground-breaking work in blood cancer treatment. Once we receive your email request for places you have two weeks to make your payment before they are made available to others. All the payment information will be emailed to you once we receive your request.

‘The inaugural Velo Birmingham was a wonderful event and I am very excited that it will return in May 2019. There are few more beautiful places to cycle than the Midlands and I would highly recommend this event to cyclists of all abilities.
Fittingly, the 2019 event falls on International Nurses Day and every participant riding for Cure Leukaemia will be raising vital funds to ensure Cure Leukaemia’s network of specialist research nurses can continue to connect blood cancer patients with potentially life-saving treatments across the UK.
I will be taking part one again and I hope cyclists across the country will join me to ride a memorable 100 miles for a fantastic charity.’

Managing director of caboodle technology, Catherine Bennett, took part in 2017:
I took part in the Birmingham Velo in 2017. I had only cycled to work a few times when I entered but I was looking for a challenge!
The ride was not just a personal challenge as it also allowed me to help raise vital funds for Cure Leukaemia, a charity I am keen to support.
The event had a fantastic atmosphere and despite my inexperience (the furthest I had cycled prior to the event was 58 miles) I made it round the 100 mile course and I am excited to hear it is back for 2019!!
